Boeing Business Jets – ‘Bespoke Sanctuaries in The Skies’

We recently completed a private jet charter employing a Boeing Business Jet, BBJ1 737. Boeing is one of the ‘bizliners’ (commercial airliners converted to private aircraft) who offer the ultimate private sky office, most notably Air Force One. Originally intended as commercial airplanes, their considerably bigger cabin volume and reliability allow passengers to truly work from anywhere. Their range of business jets was recently described as “bespoke sanctuaries in the skies”, so we’ve decided to take a closer look at their Top 5 longest range business jets.

The BBJ 777-300ER has an impressive operational range of 9,300 NM (10,695 miles, 17,100 km), making long-haul private flights possible. While the commercial version of the jet is generally configured for 400 passengers, the BBJ features a seating of 75 to 120 passengers, depending on the customer.

Elite customers enjoy a spacious cabin with executive seating, private bedrooms with en-suite lavatories, meeting and work areas, and ample lounge space for socialising. The aircraft features a maximum fuel capacity of nearly 48,000 lb (35.3 t) and an MTOW of 775,000 lb (352 t).

Besides the doomed ceiling and comfortable seats, the aircraft features ample lounging space for business travellers.

Elite passengers are sure to enjoy the low cabin altitude system, at approximately 6,000 ft (1,800 m), which is much lower than that of conventional jets. The aircraft features a maximum payload capacity of 104,600 lb (47.4t) and an MTOW of 560,000 lb (254 t). Customers can select between General Electric GEnx and Rolls-Royce Trent 1000 engines.
