Lanai Island redefines ultra-luxury living for Dubai – Construction Week Online

Tilal Al Ghaf’s Lanai Island, the first of the two ultra-luxury neighbourhoods to launch at Island Estate, is an entirely new proposition by Majid Al Futtaim Communities, part of Majid Al Futtaim Properties.

The first release from Signature Living by Majid Al Futtaim, a new brand that amplifies the elevated experience central to the Majid Al Futtaim proposition, Lanai Island rises from the crystal waters of Lagoon Al Ghaf, a 150m2 recreational lagoon where residents can swim, relax on pristine white sandy beaches, and take part in a variety
of watersports.

Comprising a limited release of 13 expansive ultra-luxury homes, Lanai Island homes have been designed in collaboration with award-winning South African architects SAOTA and stylish interior finishes by world-renowned Kelly Hoppen Interiors.

The island offers an unparalleled secluded retreat tailored to the elite lifestyle needs of the region’s growing segment of ultra-high-net-worth-individuals, delivering directly to the burgeoning demand for super-prime properties – currently an underserved sector in the emirate’s residential real estate market.

Inspired designs

The two mansion designs, Edge and Shore, take inspiration from the surrounding waters and local landscape with authentic architecture that blurs the boundaries between indoor and outdoor. Floor-to-ceiling windows abound to ensure a visual link to the lagoon is maintained throughout the interior spaces.

At the same time, natural stone cladding, a subtle layered palette of complementary tones, and organic textures combine to add impact to the underlying biophilic aesthetic.

Sunken rooftop terraces facilitate spectacular panoramic views, with lushly planted multi-level terraces and internal secluded courtyards bringing light and life to interior spaces. In the landscaped gardens, swimming pools look out over the lagoon, while multiple outdoor lounging and dining terraces invite residents and their guests to gather.

Edge: Lanai Island is home to four eight-bedroom Edge mega mansions, each offering a GSA of 2787m2. Situated on large corner plots directly on the water, the average plot size comes in at 2322.5m2.

In addition to eight ensuite bedrooms, each mansion features impressive double-height living and dining areas, a modern fully-equipped show kitchen, a rooftop deck with 360° views of the lagoon, a home theatre, home gym and spa, and a swimming pool, and hot tub. Other highlights include an underground parking gallery for 12 vehicles, a dedicated service area with a separate entrance, two back kitchens, and staff quarters for up to 12 employees.

Shore: Lanai Island’s Shore has seven-bedroom mega mansions, of which nine are available in this first release, have similar specifications. Each home offers a GSA of 2136.7m2 with an average plot size of 2229.6m2, with direct beach access, a parking gallery for nine vehicles, and a service area with one back kitchen and staff quarters for six employees.
